BroDoze · #3 · Dec 22, 2019. OP, MY19 buyers have had a tough go with this vehicle. This is precisely why I did not buy the first-year of the Ascent. I made that mistake with my 2014 Forester XT. Not doing that again. My late-‘19 built MY20 has had no tranny issues and all of the recalls do not apply to it.

Subaru ascent forums. That's right, either the outside gate button, or inside driver's side gate button held for 10 seconds will reboot/reset the rear gate computer. Your door lock operation doesn't sound normal if your rear door doesn't unlock. I went in to get min reprogrammed because I have a family that hops out before the driver does.

Front Swaybar: all 3 years use a 24mm (24.50mm with micrometer) front swaybar, and 19mm (19.40 with micrometer) rear swaybar. In conclusion the shock absorbers appear to be the only difference in suspension components. The shock absorbers can be sourced for $150/each aprox. from subaru.

Then just give the headliner a little tug to pull out the clips. 22mm nut. Specs seems to line up, bolt pattern, load rating, not as wide as the OEM 18” wheels. Centre bore should line up (or will get a hub ring) and offset I assume is fine since it was on an Outback (+55 same as Ascent). Seller offered them for $100 cdn.

Like @Rick S WA noted, Subie's been building engines with turbos for a long time. It's also worth noting that Subaru's getting only 260 hp and 277 lb*ft of torque out of 2.4L of displacement. Acura's RDX engine (the K20C4), achieves 272 hp and 280 lb*ft of torque from 20% less displacement (2.0L).

An analysis of the fluid will probably be able to tell them whether or not its ever been changed. Even if you could change the fluid, the filter is internal and cannot be accessed without major work. I think 30-60k is a reasonable interval considering they either say ~25k or lifetime.1. The Ascent CVT transmission fluid Is a new formula made just for the new Ascent transmission. All other fluids will end up in transmission failure. 2. The transmission fluid is to be filled and topped off at a very precise transmission temperature.
