Aug 15, 2023 · Emory University announced today it admitted 5,445 applicants to the Class of 2027. A total of 33,534 applications were received. A total of 3,428 were offered admission to Emory College and 3,335 were offered admission to Oxford College. 61 percent of applicants applied to both colleges and 1,376 were accepted to both.
The stats suggest that their average OOS accepted UCLA student (I assume USB is similar) did 18 full-year AP or college duel enrollment courses between sophomore and senior year. It’s fine. I don’t think unit 2 exposes students to more craziness than other housing assignments. My daughter is a rising third year. Her apartment is a short block south of peoples park so she passes it every day. There are people everywhere. Berkeley is urban and dense. All students who apply to UC Berkeley and select a major within the College of Natural Resources are evaluated based on their application, not on the particular major they select. One of my children interviewed for Regents at Berkeley. Based on her experience talking to the other kids at the interview, everyone was very accomplished. Again, these are what Berkeley considers to be the top 2% of their applicants. An average Berkeley applicant is a top student with an impressive resume.
