There are approximately 15 awards available, each worth $5000. This amount is intended to provide for 14 weeks (or ~330 hours) of student lead research-based activity over the summer months (mid-May to mid-August).These awards have a value of $6,000 (e.g. $6,000 from NSERC + $2,680 minimum top-up from the contributing department, based on minimum wage of $15.50/hour.) The duration of the award is 14 to 16 weeks on a full-time basis.
